About LLW

Leather-Levi Weekend is a great opportunity to hook up with others into fetish, leather, and kink, and to explore this side of your sexuality and community!

The primary objective and purpose of Leather-Levi Weekend is "to actively promote and encourage the education, training, socialization and integration of members and newcomers to the leather, S&M, kink and fetish communities."

To that end we come together each August for a fun-filled weekend to find and foster friendships, fraternity and family in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.

So, what does that mean? Here are some FAQs for you!

1. What is Leather Levi Weekend?
Leather Levi Weekend is a four-day event held in Northern California at the Saratoga Springs Resort. It is on the north side of Lake Mendocino off of Hwy 20 near Ukiah, CA. back to top

2. What is a "run"?
A "run" is a name used by motorcycle clubs for these types of events. They would "run" to the camp site on their cycles, often as a group, and then spend the weekend together socializing, eating, drinking and entertaining each other. back to top

3. Do I have to wear leather?
No. Leather is a term to refer to those who are part of the "leather community". Leather is the skin that we wear, not the clothing. It is part of our identity as a community of people who support each other. LLW is an opportunity to learn more about what this means, if you desire, with no obligation to join anything. There will be clubs at LLW and a cocktail hour on Saturday evening where each club can talk about who they are. back to top

4. Do I have to be "into" leather?
No. Many people who come to LLW are there because it's a great place to get away for the weekend and hang out with their friends who may or may not be part of the leather community. The only thing that we ask is that you be respectful toward all attendees at the event, follow the camp rules, have a good time, and NO DRAMA! back to top

5. Do I have to have a motorcycle?
No. While the format of LLW is based on the traditional biker run, most people don't have motorcycles.back to top

6. I don't have a car. How do I get to LLW?
If you don't have a vehicle, we will help arrange carpooling for you. During registration, let us know if you need a ride or are able to give a ride to someone. back to top

7. I ride a motorcycle. What about my stuff?
If you ride a motorcycle, we set up a drop off site for you to leave your belongings. We will bring it up and back for you. For drop off location information, contact the event co-chair. back to top

8. What happens at LLW?
Camping, swimming in the pool, enjoying the hot tub in the evening, hiking, motorcycle rides in the area, country & western dancing, whatever you can think of as long as it's safe, sane and consensual. There are workshops if you're interested as well as play spaces. back to top

9. What if I don't like camping?
There are a limited number of bunks available in the main lodge as well as private rooms in the cabins. Sign up early. They go fast! back to top

10. How much does it cost?
It depends on whether you've been to LLW or another weekend long leather-oriented event (such as IML, IMsL, a club run, etc.) before and when you sign up, as well as whether you intend to camp or get a bunk or a room. Please visit our registration page for more information. back to top

11. What do I get when I register?
8 meals (Thursday Dinner; Friday Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner; Saturday Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner; Sunday Breakfast), an open bar (bartenders on duty until midnight), a place to sleep, a swimming pool, a hot tub, lots of sun (!!!), workshops and play spaces. back to top

12. What will I do at LLW?
That's up to you! back to top

13. Do I have to volunteer?
We encourage everyone to volunteer for a two-hour shift to help out around the camp. This might mean helping bring food from the main lodge to the dining room, helping serve food or pour drinks, making sure that there is water for everyone (it gets hot up here!), or helping people check in. If you really can't volunteer, you can pay extra, which will help someone else come to camp who can't afford the full price. back to top

14. Why is it called "Twisted Summer Camp"?
We like to think of this as summer camp for those of us who like to play with ropes, knots, sleep in tents, and enjoy being outdoors. It's twisted because we also enjoy being in a space that's clothing-optional and where we can be free to have all sorts of fun, regardless of sex, gender, race, or sexual orientation. back to top
